Wrote off plastic bumper repair tabs for years, then a $35 kit saved me a $600 bumper last Friday
I've been doing this 14 years and always said those plastic tab repair kits were junk, just pull the bumper and plastic weld it or replace it. Had a 2016 Civic in the bay last Friday with two busted tabs on the corner and the customer was leaving for a wedding Saturday, no time to source a cover. Grabbed the $35 hot staple kit off the shelf at the paint store on Commercial Ave mostly out of desperation. Melted eight staples in, sanded it down, and that corner is holding solid with a normal gap, customer never knew. Now I'm wondering what else I've been sleeping on, anybody got a low buck tool that actually held up after you doubted it?
