Bought a $400 scan tool for my home garage and it's been a total game changer

I was tired of guessing on codes with my basic reader, so I bit the bullet on a Launch CRP123. Last month, a 2016 Ford Escape came in with a rough idle and a bunch of weird electrical codes. The tool let me look at live data from the throttle body and compare it to spec... found a bad sensor the generic code wouldn't have caught. It paid for itself on that one job. Anyone else using a mid-level scanner at home, and what's your go-to for weird electrical gremlins?

That live data is a lifesaver for chasing down those intermittent sensor faults.

Oh man, tell me about it. I had a sensor acting up last month and watching the live feed was the only way I caught the weird spike pattern.

Setting up a simple alert saved me hours of staring at feeds.
