I finally swapped a customer's alternator in a Walmart parking lot
Tuesday night, 9pm. Guy's truck dies right outside the automotive section. He's got a 2005 Ford F-150, alternator is shot. I had my tools in the van anyway. Took 45 minutes in the rain, headlamp on. Has anyone else done a parking lot repair like that? How'd it go?

Buddy changed a starter in Target lot at midnight. Headlamp and a prayer.

Had to swap an alternator in a Walmart lot once. Threw on a camping headlamp and propped a flashlight under the hood with a water bottle. Took longer than it should've cause I kept dropping bolts in the dark but it got the job done.
