That $90 Harbor Freight jack stand failure last week gave me a real scare
So last Tuesday I was under a lifted F-150 out near Bakersfield when I heard this weird creaking sound. Checked my jack stands and one of the locking pins had sheared clean off, dropped the truck a good 2 inches before the other stand caught it. Lucky I wasn't under the axle directly, could've been bad. These were the 3-ton stands I bought maybe 2 years ago, always used them on concrete. Anyone else had issues with the locking mechanism on these or am I just unlucky?

Bought a set of those same 3-ton stands and now I check them the way I check my ex's social media. Paranoid and never satisfied.

Buddy of mine had one fail on him. Said it sounded like a gunshot and his truck almost ended up on the ground. Makes me double-check mine every time now.
