My avionics cart's main power supply fried during a night shift on a 737 at JFK, leaving me with no test gear.
I had to scavenge a working 28V DC supply from a hangar mate's bench to finish the autopilot checkout before the morning push.

What did the hangar mate say when you had to take their power supply in the middle of the night? Were they cool about it or did you owe them a big favor? That's a rough spot to be in with a 737 waiting. Makes you wonder how old that cart's main supply was to just give out like that.
