I finally stopped buying those cheap plastic planters from the big box store

After three of them cracked and split on me within a single Texas summer I switched to unglazed terracotta pots and now my plants actually survive July without me having to water them twice a day, anyone else make that switch or am I just stubborn?

Read somewhere that porous clay actually helps roots breathe better, makes sense honestly.

Yeah makes sense. I switched to terracotta pots for my succulents and they stopped getting root rot completely.
