I used to think my fire pit needed a perfect circle of chairs around it
For a long time, I had six chairs in a tight ring around my Solo Stove. My neighbor in Tacoma came over last fall, saw it, and just said 'looks like a meeting'. That stuck with me. I moved two chairs off to the side near a small table and left more open space. People just naturally spread out and talk more now. How do you all set up seating for a fire?

My old setup had a log bench that was basically a trip hazard in the dark. Replaced it with a couple of those cheap plastic Adirondack chairs from the hardware store, the kind that fade to a weird color after one season. They're light enough to drag around wherever people want to sit.

Fade to a weird color after one season" is the most honest review of those chairs I've ever heard, @xenam84. I bought a bright blue pair that turned into a sad, milky gray by August. At least they solved your trip hazard problem, even if they look a bit ghostly now.

Used to be a total wood snob about outdoor furniture. Then my sister got those plastic chairs and I had to eat my words when her toddler tipped a whole juice box on one. Wiped right off, no stain, and the kid didn't get a splinter. My nice bench would have been ruined. Sometimes the cheap fix is the smart one, even if it fades.
