PSA: My $80 fire pit table was a total win or a total waste, can't decide

Honestly, I bought one of those propane fire pit tables for my patio last fall, cost me about eighty bucks on sale. Tbh it's been great for cool nights but my neighbor says it's a cheap gimmick that burns gas for no real heat. Ngl, who else has one and thinks it's worth it or just a fancy candle?

Your neighbor sounds fun. It's a patio heater, not a wood stove. If it keeps you outside longer, that's the whole point.

Wait, is your neighbor talking about the heat it puts off or the cost to run it? Because those are two different things. A propane fire pit isn't meant to heat a whole yard like a space heater would. It's more for the light and a little warmth right around the table, which sounds like what you're using it for. If you're enjoying it on cool nights, that's the goal met right there. The gas it uses is pretty minimal for the vibe it creates.
