Just realized sourdough starter doesn't need to be babied like everyone says
I kept hearing all these rules about feeding at exact times and using filtered water. My starter died twice following that advice. Then I went on a 10 day trip to Phoenix and left it in the fridge with nothing. Came back, fed it once, and it was bubbling like crazy in 6 hours. Anybody else think the whole starter care thing is overcomplicated?

And bagged lettuce is "literally just leaves" but people still pay extra for convenience. You do you but some of us like the shortcuts.

Got an uncle who swears his hand-ground organic flour makes the best pasta this side of the Mississippi. Won't eat anything else, but he'll microwave frozen burritos without blinking.
