A regular told me I'm his 'Thursday highlight'

He said it while I was finishing his neckline with my Andis T-Outliner. It was just a simple comment, but it stuck with me because it shows we're about more than just the cut. Anyone else have a client who makes you feel appreciated like that?

Thursday highlight sounds nice but come on, how much weight does that really carry? Sandra_moore30's Frank says his cut makes Mondays bearable, but is a haircut actually fixing a bad week? It's a haircut. People say nice stuff when you're holding clippers near their ear. I had a guy tell me I was the best part of his month, then he stiffed me on the tip. Makes you wonder if they mean it or if it's just the small talk before they go back to their real life.

That Thursday highlight comment is the real tip right there. My guy Frank always says his haircut is the only thing that makes Mondays bearable. It's those little things that remind you this chair is about way more than hair, it's someone's whole week getting better. Makes all the long days on your feet worth it when you hear that.
