I switched from straight razors to safety razors for detail work and my lineups are way cleaner now
After cutting a guy behind the ear three times in one week with a shavette, I tried a Feather safety razor for the beards and necklines and I'm never going back, has anyone else made the swap and noticed a difference on coarse hair?

Nah, straight razors are just for show, safety razors are way more practical...

Oh come on, you can't beat the control of a straight razor once you really get the hang of it. I've been using one for years and my cleanups are actually sharper than anything I've gotten from a safety razor. Maybe you just needed more time with the shavette before giving up on it.

You ever notice how we do this with everything though? Not just razors. People stick with complicated methods forever just because they already sunk the time into learning them. Like my buddy still uses that old clunky Linux setup he spent months configuring. Says it's the best. Meanwhile I click one button and my stuff works. Sometimes simple is better even if it's not as cool looking.
