Update: A guy at the Chicago Barber Expo showed me how to fix my blade gap with a business card
I was at the Chicago Barber Expo last weekend and my clippers started pulling bad on day two. A barber from Detroit watched me fight with them for a minute and told me my blade was off. He folded a business card, slid it between the blades, and adjusted the screw until it dragged just a little. Took him maybe 90 seconds total. I tried it back at my chair on Monday and got three clean fades in a row with no snags. Why did nobody teach me this in school. What other small fixes do you guys do that take under two minutes.

That business card trick saved me too when my Wahl seniors started grabbing hair during a busy Saturday. Keeping a spare card in my drawer is a habit now, costs nothing and takes seconds. Small stuff like that should be the first thing they teach in barber school instead of making us figure it out on our own.
