Walking away from a big contract over a 3% raise clause

Walked away once and it was the best call I ever made.

Sometimes sticking it out leads to better stuff though. I stayed at a terrible job for one more year to get the experience on my resume, and it totally opened doors. Or like working through a rough patch with my sister instead of cutting her off. Walking away can fix things, but not always.
