My old way to fight stress was to just keep working through the weekend.
Now I schedule a fake 'meeting' on my calendar every Friday at 3pm called 'Park Bench' and I have to go sit outside for an hour. It's the only way I'll actually stop. Anyone else have a weird trick that forces you to take a break?
lol that's genius. I put a recurring "system maintenance" block on my calendar for wednesday afternoons. It's the only thing my brain respects as a real excuse to log off.
But is your brain really that picky about what counts as a break? I just close my laptop when I'm done for the day, no fancy calendar tricks needed. Seems like overthinking it to me.
