Just realized waiting for mailed checks kills my budget
I had a client who always sent payment by mail, and it took a month to arrive. Now I ask for electronic transfer right when I send the bill. Does anyone else push for digital pay to avoid the wait?

This happens all over, not just with checks. Waiting for paper bills, mail in rebates, or even appointment reminders can mess up your plans. Some companies still act like it's 1995, sending everything by snail mail. Moving things online makes sense because you know where your money and info are right away. It's a simple fix for a problem that shouldn't exist anymore.

Yeah, there was an article last week about how the postal slowdowns are messing up small businesses that still take checks... it's a real cash flow killer. Switched to all digital payments last year and it stopped that whole guessing game of when money would actually show up. Clients usually don't mind, especially if you use the apps everyone already has on their phone. That month-long wait for an envelope feels almost silly now.

Wait a month for an envelope? That's actually wild to me. I can't imagine running a business now where your money is just floating around in the mail system for that long. My buddy's bakery still does checks for some wholesale orders and he's constantly stressed about it. Going all digital seems like the only sane move these days.
