Vent: my unpaid invoices finally hit $4,000 and that number woke me up
So I sat down and added up every invoice that was past 30 days and it came to $4,000 across 6 clients. That is more than my rent and I just kind of stared at the spreadsheet for a while. The weird part is I knew some of these were late but I never saw the total in one place before. Two of them are from a guy in Sacramento who keeps saying the check is coming and one is a web design gig from March. Last week I finally sent a late fee notice to all of them and 3 paid within 2 days. Did anyone else have a number sneak up on them like this, and did late fees actually work or just make clients mad?

The web design gig from March is your oldest one, so that late fee should've hit them first.
