Warning: I sent invoices by email for years until one client in Dallas claimed they never got them

Switched to using Wave Apps to send them with read receipts and payment links. The difference was instant, I got paid in 2 days instead of chasing for a month. Anyone else have a go-to app that forces clients to actually see the bill?

Forget the tech for a sec. The real power move is putting a late fee policy right on the invoice. Even if you never charge it, just seeing that line item changes client psychology. They stop seeing the invoice as a suggestion.

My old Dallas client always paid on time with just a plain PDF invoice.
