I bought the 'pro' version of that magnetic level for $75 and it's no better than my old $20 one.

The extra magnets are weak and the vial is just as hard to read in low light, so save your cash and stick with the basic model.

Man that's such a rip off, sorry you got burned. Totally agree with margaretc42 about them adding junk instead of fixing the real issues. A brighter vial would actually help on the job, not some extra bubble. Feels like they just slap "pro" on the box to charge more. Really makes you lose trust in the brand.

That "extra bubble I'll never use" reminds me of the time, margaretc42, my dad bought a "pro" tape measure with a built-in laser pointer.

Yeah, that tracks. It feels like a lot of these "pro" versions just add useless features instead of fixing the actual problems. Like, give me a genuinely brighter vial or stronger magnets, not just an extra bubble I'll never use.
