My book club's split on that fitness book's rest day advice
Some in our club do full rest days as the book suggests, others feel light exercise is key. What do you think?

Mix up your rest days based on how your body feels. I do concrete, so some days I just walk the dog, other days I need to do nothing. What did the book say about listening to your body?

Wait, you do concrete for a living?

Oh wow, concrete work is no joke... I see guys pouring slabs all day in the heat. They're building foundations for houses or fixing sidewalks. It's back-breaking stuff, so you gotta listen to your body like kevint said. Some days you just can't do anything after that... Makes total sense to mix up rest days.

But what if your body is telling you the wrong thing sometimes? I get what kevint is saying, but I've found if I only rest when I feel beat, I end up taking way more days off than I should. @miles_chen, it's like your body wants to be lazy after hard work, but moving around a bit on those sore days actually helps me feel better faster. Sticking to a set plan, even on tired days, keeps me from falling off track completely.
