Our club tried a strict vote versus just talking it out for our next pick...
We used to just talk until we agreed, which took forever and left people upset. Last month, we did a ranked choice vote on three books using a free online tool. The winner was clear in five minutes, and everyone felt heard because they ranked their choices. Has your group found a better way to pick books without the long fights?

Wish our group was that smart. We spent half an hour last time just arguing over what kind of snacks to have, let alone picking a book. Ranked choice sounds like a genius move, honestly. Might have to suggest it before we all get too hangry to read.

Half an hour on snacks? That's wild. My old group once spent ten minutes debating store brand versus name brand pretzels and I thought that was bad. You could have read a whole chapter in that time. Honestly, the book is the whole point, people.

Tell me about it, @grantc80, my last group fell apart over snack drama. Did your crew at least land on something good after all that time, or was it just a draw where someone had to make a store run anyway? The ranked choice thing works for books but I'm not sure it would save us from the chip vs. popcorn debate.
