My fern turned yellow after I moved it near the vent, 2 weeks to recover

I shifted my Boston fern next to the AC vent in my kitchen in Dallas and within 2 weeks every frond went pale, but after moving it back to the bathroom window it greened up in about 10 days, has anyone else seen that kind of fast reaction from just airflow?

Did your fern also file a complaint with the apartment manager, or was it just passive aggressive about the vent? Plants are weird like that, they act all fragile then bounce back faster than my phone battery after a good cry. The bathroom window probably smells like a spa to it, so no surprise it perked up. Airflow is a bit like a dramatic ex, it can ruin your whole vibe in two weeks but you forget about it once you leave. Next time just tell the fern to suck it up, it’s Dallas, we’re all yellowing a little.
