I used to think dried beans were too much work until I tried the overnight soak
For years I avoided them because the long cook time seemed like a hassle. Last month I started soaking a pound of pinto beans in my slow cooker before bed. Waking up to beans ready to cook cut my prep down to almost nothing and saved me about $8 compared to canned for the same amount. Has anyone else found a simple trick that made a cheap ingredient way easier to use?

Honestly, soaking beans overnight in the slow cooker was a total game changer for me too.

My friend did that and forgot to turn it on.

Classic mason273 move. My uncle once left his slow cooker on for three days straight.
