Tried a 'mystery flight' deal from a budget airline and ended up in Vilnius
I booked a 29 euro ticket from Berlin where you only find out the destination 48 hours before takeoff. I got Lithuania in February, which was way colder than I packed for. Has anyone else tried these surprise deals and actually gotten somewhere warm?

My friend did that last year and got a surprise trip to Riga in November. She showed up with only a light jacket and had to buy one of those puffy coats from a market stall. Spent half her budget on winter gear she never wears back home. The photos are just her looking frozen in front of every church. Makes you wonder if they save all the warm places for summer.

That "half her budget on winter gear" line is too real. I once packed for what I thought was a mild fall weekend and ended up in a snowstorm. I spent the whole trip wearing every single item of clothing I brought, all at once, looking like a lumpy marshmallow. My travel photos are just a sad, puffy person trying to smile through chattering teeth. I clearly have no talent for guessing the weather.
