Finally picked the cheaper phone plan and it actually worked out

I was paying $85 a month with Verizon for 15GB of data I never even used. Last month I switched to Mint Mobile for $25 a month since they had a 3-month trial deal. Honestly I was scared my service would drop in the middle of calls but I've been fine around Denver metro. My bill went from $85 down to $25 and I still have leftover data each month. Has anyone else tried switching to a prepaid plan and regretted it?

Money left over for tacos" - that's a pretty low bar for success, don't you think? Like yeah, I switched too and stopped bleeding cash on random subscriptions, but I'm not exactly living it up on taco Tuesday. Feels like we're all just happy we can afford a fast food run once a month now.

Tbh I feel like the whole "money for tacos" thing is just coping with how insane everything is. Ngl I switched to Visible for $30 and still somehow end up spending my savings on DoorDash because I'm too lazy to cook. My taco money just turned into guilt money for ordering quesadillas at 10pm.
