inI laughed at wireless sensors back in 2012, now I install them every week
Watched a guy spend four hours trying to hardwire a single window in a historic house.

inSpent 45 minutes trying to blend a layer before realizing I had it set to 'multiply' the whole time
Is it just me or does this kind of thing happen WAY more often than it should? I've wasted whole afternoons on something similar with my kitchen blender once - thought the motor was dying because it kept making this grinding noise, but turns out the lid wasn't on all the way. It's like our brains skip the simplest fix first and go straight to the panic button. That dropdown menu should come with a warning label or something, haha.

inPSA: Check your force majeure clause for pandemic loopholes
Dude have you tried just adding a simple line about "widespread illness or government mandated shutdowns"? I was in the same boat last year and my lawyer buddy told me to keep it short and sweet instead of trying to list every possible disaster. I literally typed out "if more than 50% of events in the region get cancelled due to health issues or official orders, this contract pauses until things go back to normal" and both my clients and I have been way happier with it. It's not fancy but it beats trying to decode those vague lawyer phrases that don't actually help anyone.

inI used to think a 'quick favor' was fine until a client in Atlanta asked for a whole website rewrite for free
You ever have someone ask for "just a couple more photos" and it ends up being a whole new album? Happened to me with a landscaping client who wanted "one extra angle" on their yard shots. I learned to say "happy to quote that as a separate job" and it’s saved me hours of free work since.

inPSA: Trying to level a floor with self-leveler without proper prep
Oh man, @zarag17, did you have that moment where you just stared at the floor and thought "what have I done"? I did the exact same thing with a batch of self-leveler in my basement last year. I mixed it way too thick because I was in a hurry and it set up like a hard candy shell on half the floor. I spent two full weekends with a hammer and a cold chisel, and my back was killing me for a week after. The worst part was when I finally got it all off, I found out I had to put down a bonding agent first, which I totally forgot about. At least now you know what not to do for next time, right?
