Switched to a standing desk after my back gave out at the library
I was at the downtown public library working on a website layout. Sat for 4 hours straight. Couldn't stand up without grabbing the table. That scared me straight. Bought a $60 converter top off Amazon. Now I stand half the day. Has anyone else noticed worse focus when sitting too long?

Started noticing the same thing after a long day of editing photos. My brain just turns to soup around the 3 hour mark of sitting. I actually started walking around my apartment during phone calls and that helped a bit. It's wild how your body basically tells you to move but you just ignore it until something hurts.

Geez that sounds rough! My buddy Jake had the same wake up call. He was editing wedding photos for like six hours straight and his left leg went totally numb. He freaked out thinking it was a stroke or something. Turns out he just crushed his sciatic nerve somehow. Now he sets a timer on his phone to pace around his living room every 45 minutes. He says his edits look way better too.
