Hit $5,000 in my emergency fund and it felt weirdly small
I finally got my emergency fund to $5,000 after 9 months of scraping. I thought I'd feel set, but then my water heater started leaking and the repair quote was $1,800. That left me with $3,200, which wouldn't even cover a month of rent and bills here in Phoenix. Has anyone else hit a savings goal and realized it wasn't nearly enough for real life?
