That grocery bill on the 15th made me rethink everything
Last month on the 15th I looked at my bank account and saw I had spent $487 on food in two weeks. Mostly takeout and those fancy salad kits from the store. I was pretty mad at myself. Has anyone else had that one day where the numbers just hit you different?

Four hundred eighty seven bucks on food in two weeks? That's crazy man.

Saw a report the other day saying food prices have gone up like 25% in three years... that $487 check probably looked normal to someone shopping for a family back in 2020. My own grocery bill went from maybe $60 a week to almost $90 and I'm just one person buying the same stuff.

I mean @wesley639 is not wrong, I'd probably need a second job just to keep my fridge stocked. Like my "treat yourself" moment this week was buying the store brand frozen pizza instead of the fancy one, and I still spent $50 in a single trip somehow. Groceries are just wild these days, I swear a loaf of bread and some eggs basically cost as much as a full tank of gas now. But hey, at least my ramen stockpile is looking real luxurious.
