Tried coupon stacking at Kroger and it actually worked for once

I always thought coupon stacking was a gimmick or too much work. Then last Saturday I was at the Kroger on Elm Street and saw a lady in front of me save $47 on her groceries. She showed me her binder of coupons and explained the store policy. I tried it myself yesterday with just two apps and a paper coupon for pasta sauce and ended up saving $12 on a $30 trip. Has anyone else had luck with this or is it just random?

Honestly, I gotta disagree a bit about the "lot of work" part. Sure, that binder lady is dedicated, but you said you saved $12 with just a couple apps and a paper coupon, which sounds like it was actually pretty easy. Tbh, the time it takes to clip and organize is way worth it when you see the total drop like that. Ngl, I think the real trick is just learning your store's specific rules, not that it's some big hassle.

ngl the "binder lady" part is funny but kinda wrong. i literally just use the kroger app and clip digital coupons while i'm in the checkout line. takes like 2 minutes. saved $8 on cereal and milk last week doing that. its not some huge ordeal unless you're trying to stack 47 coupons at once.

the binder lady thing always makes me laugh because honestly that might be me in 20 years lmao. @jennybailey you're probably right that once you figure out the rules it's pretty smooth, but i tried clipping digital coupons once and accidentally bought three things of cream cheese i did not need. my fridge smelled like a bagel shop for a week.
