Pro tip: let your bullet journal pages breathe don't cram them full

I was at a coffee shop in Denver last month and this girl next to me saw my journal. She said my spreads looked like a disaster because I was squeezing in too many tasks per page. She showed me hers with just 5 items per day and a ton of blank space. Has anyone else felt like less is actually more with layout density?

Started relaxing my spreads about six months ago after reading some blog post about white space. My brain actually works better now with fewer tasks listed because I stop feeling like I need to rush through things just to fill up the page. The blank space kind of gives me permission to breathe and not beat myself up if something gets moved to tomorrow.

That thing about her having 5 items and all that blank space (kind of like how minimalist decor looks way better than a cluttered room) makes total sense. It's wild how we think cramming everything in means we're being productive, but really it just stresses us out more.

Right there with you, the blank space has been oddly freeing for me too.
