Spent an hour searching for my washi tape organizer that was right on my desk

I spent like 45 minutes tearing apart my room looking for my washi tape holder last Sunday, only to find it hidden under a random notebook on my desk. It was literally in plain sight the whole time, and I almost bought a new one out of frustration. Has anyone else misplaced something obvious while bullet journaling and felt silly afterward?

Who else has that one pen that vanishes the second you actually need it for your weekly spread?

Have you tried designating one small tray or basket just for your washi tapes and keeping it in a fixed spot on your desk? I used to lose mine all the time until I bought a little wooden box from the craft store and made it my tape drop zone. Now I always put them back there right after I finish decorating, and it has saved me a lot of frustration.

That reminds me of something I read in a craft blog recently about "zoning" your supplies based on how often you use them. The idea is to keep your most used stuff like washi tapes in a super accessible spot, not buried in a drawer. My tape collection used to be scattered in three different bins and I'd always grab the wrong one first. Now I have a little ceramic dish on my desk that holds my top ten tapes, and the rest live in a drawer. It really cuts down on the frustration of digging around for the perfect roll.
