Forgot to account for wood expansion on a big door project.

The ENTIRE frame warped after one season.

Yeah, the whole frame warping hits close to home. I once built a cabinet door so tight in the summer it just... refused to open by Christmas. Had to shave it down in the cold, now it rattles like a loose tooth when the heat kicks on.

You think that's bad? My buddy had a patio door that swelled shut last summer. He forced it open and split the wood along the top. Now every winter, cold air pours through that crack like a sieve. He keeps patching it, but the whole frame is basically junk now.

My back door swelled shut, and now it has @caleb_bell5's rattle plus a constant icy draft.

Isn't wood movement usually a planning issue? A proper gap and sealed finish should handle normal seasonal swings. Those stories sound like installs with no room to breathe or wood that wasn't acclimated first.
