Hardwood vs plywood for drawer boxes, I changed my mind on my last kitchen build

Always built drawer boxes from solid oak, but a customer in Portland pushed me to try Baltic birch ply. The ply came out lighter, no expansion issues, and I finished that 18-drawer kitchen a day early. Anyone else switch camps on this?

That Portland humidity will do it. Made a cabinet once with solid maple and it warped so bad the door didn't close by fall. Switched everything to ply after that.
