Vent: I just realized I've cut over 10,000 board feet of maple for face frames in the last 5 years

That's a whole lot of trees, and it finally clicked why my local lumberyard guy knows my truck. Anyone else ever stop and calculate a number that made you pause?

My shop burned through 8,000 board feet of poplar last year for drawer boxes.

Eight thousand board feet is a whole lot of drawers. That's like a small forest just for boxes. How many cabinets are you even building?

Try using half-blind dovetails for the drawer fronts.

Our shop used 5,000, so @kim_davis is right about that forest.
