A raccoon decided to help me with a crawl space job

I was pulling fiber through a tight crawl space under a house. Out of nowhere, a family of raccoons started chattering right next to my toolbox. One tried to steal my wire strippers, and I had to back out slowly. Took me an extra hour to finish the job after they moved on.

Sounds like you had a furry helper... My neighbor's cat once dragged all my gardening gloves into the bushes. Took forever to find them.

Lost a whole bag of nails once to a crow that thought it was building a nest. I was fixing my deck and left the bag open. This crow started swooping down and grabbing nails one by one. Had to chase it off, but it kept coming back. Ended up having to work from a closed toolbox after that. What's the weirdest animal you've dealt with on a job?

Do you think the crow was after the shiny nails or just building material? Crows are smart like that, always grabbing interesting things. Makes you keep a closer eye on your stuff.
