That apartment complex in Phoenix where I found exposed coax buried in the dirt

Was pulling new lines for a unit there last month and found the old cables just laying in mud with no conduit at all. It was only 2 months old and already corroded. Anyone else run into property managers who cheap out on the install specs?

Did the property manager even look at the permits or walk the job after it was done? Because that kind of shortcut isn't just a cheap bid, it's someone who either doesn't know what code requires or doesn't care. I've seen managers who just rubber stamp the lowest number and never check if the contractor actually buried conduit or just threw cable in a trench. Did you get them to admit they picked the guy with the fastest start date instead of the one with the right materials?

Bet they used the cheapest bid without checking anything.

Wonder if the timing had anything to do with it, like maybe the job was started way too fast without getting multiple quotes at all. I mean, sometimes people panic and just grab whoever can start next week, not whoever does good work. Could explain why corners got cut everywhere.
