The way we handle crawl spaces now is completely different from five years ago
Back in 2019, I'd just suit up in whatever old clothes I had and army crawl through the dirt, dragging my tools behind me. I'd be covered in dust and cobwebs by the end of the day, and my back would be killing me. The change came after a job in a suburb outside of Phoenix, where I spent three hours in a space that was 110 degrees and full of rodent droppings. I got a nasty rash that took a week to clear up. Now, I use a proper Tyvek suit, a respirator, and a small, wheeled cart for my gear. It adds maybe ten minutes to prep, but I'm cleaner, safer, and way less miserable. I don't know why we ever thought the old way was fine. What's the one piece of gear you guys added that made the worst part of the job bearable?

Man, that Phoenix story sounds brutal. I finally got a decent headlamp last year and it was a total game changer, no more holding a flashlight in my teeth.

Sounds a bit dramatic, @zara_wilson...

Wait, did you mean to tag me? I'm Diana, not Zara. But yeah, headlamps are a total lifesaver. I used to try balancing a regular flashlight on a shelf while cleaning behind a toilet, and it was a mess. Having both hands free makes any job way easier.
