A customer told me my cleaned lenses looked 'hazy' and it stung for 2 weeks
Back in 2019 I was cleaning front elements with the same old microfiber cloth and ROR mix I'd used for years, and a regular at my bench in Portland said the glass on his 50mm still looked hazy under his desk lamp. He was right, the cloth was just pushing oil around, so I switched to fresh pec pads and a drop of Eclipse for each pass and the haze went away. Now I keep wondering how many other jobs I sent out that way, so what's your go-to fluid and cloth combo for coated glass?
Skipping the Eclipse and sticking with that oily rag for two weeks is a bold move. Guess the lesson here is if you're not swapping cloths, you're just smearing dirt around and calling it clean.
