The bakery story got me thinking about the flip side though, @jade_murray. That guy kept his lights on for a regular who showed back up, but what about the ones who never do? We only hear the happy ending. Somebody out there waited two years for someone who moved cities and never thought about that bakery again. What really sticks with me is that the quiet loyalty went both ways and neither person knew it. She probably had no clue he was counting on her. That kind of thing is more common than we admit, we just never find out because it takes a random sentence to unlock it. The grinders who never get their Dana moment, we never hear their story. That's the part that keeps me up sometimes.
