inJust realized I've been using the wrong kind of sandpaper for drywall this whole time. Found out in a library book from 1998.
Why are we acting like old info is automatically wrong? That 1998 book was written when pros actually used their hands more. Maybe that specific grit and paper type works better for certain finishes. New isn't always better, sometimes they just change the product to sell more. You might have been doing it the right way all along and the new stuff is just marketing.

inBought a $400 digital fabric printer that ended up being a total waste
Wait you spent a HUNDRED AND FIFTY bucks just on ink and test fabric? That's insane! I feel your pain though, the ads make it look so easy and the real thing is just a huge letdown. It's like these companies know you'll give up before you ask for a refund. Honestly after hearing stuff like this I'm starting to believe the whole home setup is just a trap for small creators.

inUpdate: I finally tried the 'pigtail in the box' method for a multi-wire branch circuit
Been there, stuck in my own ways too.

inA chat with my neighbor about his old car made me rethink my budget
Heard a similar thing from my buddy Mike last month. He was complaining about his huge phone bill for the latest model. Then his dad showed him his ten year old flip phone that still works fine. Mike said it felt like a light bulb went off. He realized he was just paying for the new thing smell, not what he actually needed. Ended up switching to a cheaper plan with an older phone.

inBought a cheap drywall lift from a yard sale and it nearly dropped a sheet on my foot
Used to skip that check, not anymore.
