My mentor swore by using a wooden stick to align shutter curtains, and I thought he was crazy until I tried it on a beat-up Nikon F2 last week
The tip was to whittle a chopstick to a fine point and gently nudge the curtain edge back into its track, and after 3 tries I got a perfect exposure across the whole frame, has anyone else used something weird like a toothpick or a paperclip for delicate work like that?

Yo, did you use a regular wooden chopstick or one of those disposable ones? I fixed a jammed shutter on an old Pentax with a plastic coffee stirrer once, worked way better than I expected. That wood trick sounds sketch but I'm TOTALLY trying it next time.

Ha, @anthony_jackson31 I used a regular wooden one from my sushi takeout box and it worked fine. Though now I'm picturing someone trying to fix a camera with one of those fancy lacquered chopsticks and accidentally snapping it in half.
