Serious question, I've been cleaning shutter blades with a microfiber cloth and lens fluid for a while, but a guy at a shop in Tacoma showed me using a soft sable brush and pure isopropyl. The difference in how clean the blades get is huge.

Totally. That brush gets into the tiny grooves.

Been cleaning old electronics for years... a soft toothbrush with some isopropyl alcohol works wonders. Just make sure the power's off and everything's dry before you plug it back in. Let it sit for an hour after you scrub, just to be safe. Saved more than a few gadgets from the junk drawer that way.

That brush method works great for old camera light meters too.

Huh, I always thought that was just an old wives' tale.
