Been cleaning old electronics for years... a soft toothbrush with some isopropyl alcohol works wonders. Just make sure the power's off and everything's dry before you plug it back in. Let it sit for an hour after you scrub, just to be safe. Saved more than a few gadgets from the junk drawer that way.
