A guy at the REI garage sale in Denver talked me out of the fancy sleeping pad and he was right
I was about to drop $180 on a super light inflatable pad last spring at the Denver REI garage sale, and this older guy in line said to grab the cheap closed cell foam one instead because his kept him warm for 15 years and never sprung a leak. I ignored him for two trips until my inflatable got a pinhole on night one of a trip near Leadville and I spent the rest of the weekend on cold ground. Now I want to know, does anyone here still run foam pads on purpose, or am I just being stubborn?
