Switched from a Coleman 2 burner to a Jetboil after a windy trip in Moab and I'm not sure I can go back
Used to drag my old green Coleman stove everywhere because it was cheap and I knew how it worked, even though it took 20 minutes to boil water when it was gusty. Picked up a Jetboil Flash for a 3 day trip near Moab last spring and had coffee going in under 2 minutes while my buddy was still fighting his windscreen. Anyone else made the switch from a full stove setup to a canister one, or do you keep both depending on the trip?
Remember the guy who needed two hands and a knee just to get his old Coleman lit in the wind? That was me, every single trip. The canister setup changed my mornings because boiling water fast when you're cold and cranky is worth a lot, and the old stove stays home for car camping where weight doesn't matter.
