That 3 AM shift just burned my whole week of planning

I took a night supervisor post at the Amazon warehouse in Houston last Monday on a whim, thinking overtime would boost my resume. By 4 AM I realized the safety manager had changed every loading protocol without telling the night crew, and we shipped 40 pallets with the wrong labels. Has anyone else gotten stuck covering shifts where management hides key updates from the overnight team?

Man that is brutal. Overnight crews always get the short end of the stick, nobody thinks to loop them in until something blows up. I worked a graveyard gig at a distribution center once and they changed the whole barcode system on a Friday, didn't tell anyone until Monday morning. We had three trucks go out to the wrong states. The worst part is you look bad for things you had zero control over. Hope that safety manager gets a talking to, because that kind of silence costs everyone money and sleep.
