Serious question, why does everyone in my town use a 4-inch nail for framing a simple shed?
I've fixed three of them this year that were swaying like a drunk sailor after a mild storm. What's the actual right fastener for a basic 8x10 shed frame?

My uncle swore by those too, until his garden shed ended up in the neighbor's pool.

Yeah, it's wild how people skip on the right anchors to save fifty bucks. That Florida story is just the tip of the iceberg. I've seen patio furniture go through windows and a whole gas grill end up in a tree. The wind finds the weak spot every single time.

My cousin in Florida tried to build his own deck with those cheap anchor kits from the hardware store. We got a call after a summer storm saying the whole thing just lifted up and was resting against his fence. He spent more on the new fence than he saved on the anchors. It was one of those lessons you only learn the hard way.
