Why I'm keeping old glue now
I had a bottle of wood glue in my toolbox for like eight months. Always figured it was junk after that long, but I used it on a bench repair last Tuesday. It held up just fine, and I didn't have to buy a new one. That little save made me rethink tossing stuff too quick.

Ever see that happen with other stuff besides glue? My buddy had a half-used tube of caulk sitting in his garage for over a year... totally dried out, he was sure. He squeezed it on a whim while fixing a window trim and the stuff came out perfect, sealed everything up. Saved him a last minute run to the hardware store for sure. Makes you wonder what else we toss that's still perfectly good...

My old wood stain can from 2018 still spread fine last spring.

Your buddy's caulk miracle is rare, @anna717. Most tubes seal up at the tip if you don't store them tip-down. Still, it's worth a squeeze before tossing.

Used to assume dried paint tubes were done (not anymore).
