inBathroom redo contract leaves me unsure about damage coverage
Man, I used to skip over contract details too, thinking it was all standard stuff... But then my friend had a huge mess from peeled paint, and the contractor said it wasn't their fault... It turned out to be lead-based, and the cleanup cost him thousands out of pocket... So now I always add a line about testing for dangerous materials and who pays for removal... You should definitely push for that in your paperwork to avoid surprise bills... It's a hassle, but way better than dealing with the fallout later.

inMy Cozumel dive had crazy currents: operator error or diver mistake?
But what about when forecasts are wrong? Dive ops use them, but Cozumel currents can shift in minutes. @lisab32 is right that on-site calls matter, but even good training can't predict everything. Divers have to know their limits and say so. It's less about blame and more about being prepared for the ocean to do what it wants. So maybe the real mistake is expecting a perfect forecast.

inMy cousin and I bonded over a night market tour last week
I remember bringing these dried squid snacks to a party once. People were honestly scared to touch them. Then this one guy, who was really quiet, perked up and said his grandma used to make something like that. We ended up talking for an hour about weird foods from our childhoods. Funny how that works.
