Bought a $200 invoice tracking app and it was useless

Wasted 3 months on this app called BillFlow Pro. Thought it would automate chasing payments. But it just sent ugly emails clients ignored. Still had to call everyone myself. Anyone else get burned on a tool that promised too much?

Well, this is exactly what I see with a lot of things these days. It's like people think buying some fancy tool will fix everything, but the real problem is usually just doing the work and being organized. You still have to actually talk to people and build relationships, no app can replace that. Sometimes the simple way really is the best way, even if it means a few extra phone calls.

Felt the same way until I realized I wasn't using the templates right. Had to tweak the wording and set up follow up sequences before it actually started working. Still had to make some calls but it cut my time in half.

Crazy how sometimes the old spreadsheet method works better than all that flashy automation stuff.
