Spent $75 on a fancy camera snake and found a raccoon family

I bought this little inspection camera on a flexible cable last fall, thinking it would help me spot cracks without getting my whole head up there. It was about $75, which felt like a lot for a tiny screen and a light. Well, I used it on a job in Springfield last week, and instead of a crack, I saw four little raccoon faces staring right back at the lens. The homeowner was watching over my shoulder and just started laughing. Has anyone else had a wild find with one of these things, or is my luck just that special?

Wow, @emma_lee22's bat story and your raccoons make that camera sound like a wildlife finder.

Yeah, that wildlife finder thing is exactly how it felt.

That raccoon family story is gold. I found a whole nest of bats once with my cheapo camera, right in the eaves. Called a wildlife removal guy and he said the camera saved him hours of poking around. Totally worth the money just for that.
