Can we talk about the time a client wanted their entire site redone in Comic Sans

I was finishing a web design job for a small bakery in Toledo, and the owner called me at 10 PM on a Friday. She said she saw the final mockup and wanted all the text changed to Comic Sans because it looked 'more fun.' I explained why that was a bad idea for about twenty minutes, but she insisted it was her brand. I ended up making two versions, one with her font and one with my original, and sent her both. She actually picked the good one after her daughter said the Comic Sans one looked like a school project. Has anyone else had a client fixate on a font this badly?

More fun" is how I got a neon green Papyrus logo.

Honestly I used to be a total font snob about Papyrus. But seeing it in a wild color like that actually makes it work, it's like the joke is part of the design now. Totally changed how I see it.

Ugh, I'm with the original poster on this one. Comic Sans is a hard no for a business site. @rosecarr, I get what you're saying about Papyrus, but some fonts just have a bad reputation for a reason.
